Your community is only as strong as its weakest link and rather than providing a solution to, for example, homelessness, when you help people see the power they have to create change in other peoples' lives it creates an awakening in them to do more.

It is one thing to be blind to your potential and do nothing about it, but as more people see the power they have to create change how can they then do nothing once they know they could do something? It is a lack of self appreciation for ourselves, the good each one of us can reveal in the world that means we often fall short of what we can do.

By empowering volunteers to share their time A4L helps people BE more, expand themselves and as an effect of their sharing help the most vulnerable.
